Sivananda Yoga

Sivananda yoga was started by Swami Sivananda in 1936 and then spread by Swami Vishnudevananda all over the world. In this class, asanas are practised with awareness and comfort creating a harmony between the body and the mind. There are 12 basic asanas that are practised which increase flexibility, strength and circulation of blood in the body. The pranayama calms the mind and reduces stress. With regular practise the body and mind will be focused and positive.
This class includeswarm up, proper breathing, the 12 poses with variations and relaxation that takes you deeper into the practice. The sequence of the class allows the prana/vital energy to flow through the body and the mind releasing all the imbalances. This class includes a traditional, exact and easy to learn system that aims at naturally achieving the goal through creating a healthy body and mind that leads to spiritual evolvement.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha originated by Swami Swatmarama, he compiled the Hathapradipika combining several traditions and their methods. In Sanskrit, the word HA is known as sun and THA as the moon. Therefore, hatha yoga balances the right and left side of the body creating an equal harmony in the body and mind.
This class includes postures along with controlled breathing. The purification of the body leads to the purification of mind which leads to connection with the divine. It includes meditation, asanas, breathing techniques, and chakras. In this class, every asana stretches on a different part of the muscle and limbs creating a stretch and rejuvenation to the entire body. Our aim is to create a meditative state of mind and to completely surrender to the posture.

Power Yoga

Power yoga has originated from Ashtanga yoga’s base. Power Yoga is a fast-paced high energy and effort class. This class includes asanas and exercises focusing on releasing toxins, losing weight, increasing endurance and increasing flexibility. Along with that power yoga has many benefits such as increases stamina, strength, flexibility and toning. It promotes blood circulation and boosts the immune system.Our aim is to strengthen the spine whilst performing the asanas and improving the focus. Power yoga gives the entire body a workout. It is a modern form of yoga with a mix of asanas and a fitness regime. Power Yoga is an upbeat class with different exercises helping you to energise and relax by the end of the class.

Meditative Yoga

Meditation is the post important part of Yoga as it is calming the mind with awareness. It is a state of complete and blissful relaxation. It is an overall beneficial experience for the mind and body system. Meditation takes you to the ultimate divine and allows to connect with one’s self.
This class includes stretching, meditation, breathing and deep relaxation. Calming music helps soothing and creating the appropriate mood for this class. After practising meditation regularly, we can connect with the higher realms of ourselves and the universe.
This class aims to achieve working on ourselves on a spiritual level to sustain happiness and positivity for eternity.

Kids Yoga

Today, Yoga for children is very important for their overall development. Yoga for children became popular in the recent years after the publication of many children yoga books and videos on the internet. Yoga for children is important as it increases theirconcentration, promotes a healthy body, works on their self-confidence, stress management, learning, mindfulness, improves coordination and balance. In this class, there will be story-telling and acting out animal like postures. We will also be singing songs and playing fun games with asanas and deep breathing to calm the mind and help focus on the practise. Meaning and benefits of every posture will be taught. Yoga for children is very important and our aim is to teach children to be calm and positive.

Diet

Our diet is very important.What we eat is what we are and who we become. Yoga and diet go hand in hand. The benefits of yoga can be enjoyed with a healthy diet. Discussions and talks of what to eat and what not to eat take place. There is a 12-week diet handed out every week. Special recipes are shared for weight loss and toning.
